Hey cyclists, come out today from 3 to 7 p.m. to the Shawnee Golf Course clubhouse to learn about the planned sections of the Louisville Loop and how they relate to you! Get all the info here.

The last and largest span section was connected on the Big Four Bridge.

Work on the Big Four Bridge in Waterfront Park, which is being turned into a ped/bike bridge across the Ohio River, is moving along nicely with the recently completed ramp decking now in place. Funding to complete the bridge is in the works, according to David Karem, the Executive Director of the Waterfront Development Corporation. He is hopeful that a federal funding source will be announced before January to complete work on the decking and the Indiana connection.

              Metro Public Works has been out recently painting bike symbols at key traffic lights along bike routes to help cyclists know where to place their bike to initiate the light to change. Whether the symbol is there or not, you can often get the light to change when no other vehicles are present in your lane by placing your bike over the new quadrangle saw cuts in the roadway or by placing your bike over the saw cut on the standard induction loops.

In Louisville, 2^nd Sunday will take place on Champions Trace which runs between Newburg Road and Hikes Lane next to the old Bashford Manor Mall. The road will be closed from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. for this free event which includes activities for the whole family.
